What these assessments are, and what they are not
These seven assessments are guidance tools, not diagnostic tests. They measure no hormone, replace no blood test and make no diagnosis. What they do is simpler: they put words on what you are experiencing, give structure to what often stays vague, and help you spot what deserves to be raised with a healthcare professional.
That is useful because the most frequent complaint in menopause consultations is not a precise symptom: it is "I no longer feel like myself". Arriving with clear reference points (since when, how often, which areas are affected) completely changes the quality of the discussion and saves time.
How the questions were built
The questions draw on the dimensions the scientific literature uses to describe the menopausal transition: vasomotor symptoms, sleep, genitourinary symptoms, mood, cognition, body composition and cardiovascular and bone risk factors. They follow the logic of the validated tools used in research, without being a reproduction of them or claiming their clinical value.
The results are worded with the same caution as the rest of our content. When a high score appears, we do not draw conclusions: we state what it may mean, what it does not mean, and in which cases seeing a doctor is warranted. Our editorial method explains this standard, applied equally to our articles and our videos.
Your answers stay with you
No assessment asks you to create an account or leave an email address to get your result. Your answers are processed in your browser and your progress is stored locally on your device. You can retake an assessment as many times as you like, or stop midway without leaving anything behind. The details are in our privacy policy.
And then what?
An assessment is only worthwhile if it leads somewhere. At the end of each one, we point you to the long-form content that matches your situation: the in-depth article to understand the mechanism, the video for the explained version, and the concrete points to prepare before a consultation. If a symptom worries you, disrupts your daily life or set in quickly, do not wait for the result of an online test to talk to your doctor.
