The science of women's health, without compromise
VivanaFem is an editorial project dedicated to rigorous, accessible communication of the research on women's health.
Our mission
Women aged 40 to 55 go through a major hormonal transition (perimenopause, menopause) often in a fog, poorly informed, and tired of superficial advice. VivanaFem exists to fill that gap: clear, verified information, published in French and English, on menopause, hormones and women's nutrition, to understand your body and take back control of your health.
Our method: science first
Our golden rule is simple and non-negotiable: every piece of content relies on verifiable scientific sources. In practice:
- A minimum of 3 studies from PubMed, peer-reviewed journals or clinical trials for every video and every article.
- Cited, accessible sources: we publish the references (PubMed links) so you can check for yourself.
- Zero invented data: no figure, no claim that cannot be traced back to its source.
- Credibility before virality: we never sacrifice accuracy for clicks. When the science is nuanced, we say so.
Who funds VivanaFem
A health website must say where its money comes from. VivanaFem is funded by the advertising displayed on its pages, served through Google AdSense, and by nothing else. Ads only load after you make your choice in the consent banner.
This funding has no hold on what is written:
- No sponsored content: no article, test or video is commissioned, reviewed, approved or funded by a brand, a laboratory, a supplement manufacturer or a clinic.
- No affiliate links: we earn nothing if you buy a product we mention, and we sell no products, no supplements and no consultations.
- No health data passed to any advertiser: the details are in our privacy policy.
- Any future partnership would be disclosed at the top of the article, before the text.
The full details are on the funding and conflicts of interest page of our editorial method, and in our legal notice.
Who writes the content?
Why I created this site
VivanaFem's work is documentary and educational: we make existing research accessible, we do not produce personalized medical advice. Our complete editorial method describes how sources are chosen, verified and updated.
Spotted an error?
We would rather correct quickly and say so. An error, a figure that looks wrong to you, a study we should have cited or a source we misread: write to contact@vivanafem.com or use the contact form. We reply within 3 business days, we go back to the source, and if the error is confirmed the page is corrected and its update date changed. A correction that changes the meaning of a claim is flagged with a dated note at the end of the article. The details are in our correction policy.
Information, not medical advice
VivanaFem's content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice and is in no way a substitute for consulting a healthcare professional. Every woman is different: for any question about your hormonal health, a treatment or a symptom, consult your doctor.
